Hayek, economist and oracle

F. Hayek, is one of the greatest minds in Economics.
His "The Road to Serfdom" is an illustration of the state of the world and America today.
We, the citizens, have become serfs.
We have little or no choice about the rules, regulations and laws that are enacted to rule our daily lives.
We have absolutely no choice or voice about the extreme taxation that burdens us virtually into oblivion.
We are at the mercy of thugs, crooks, police and, even worse, politicians.
Politicians are the visible portions of the new aristocracy that runs the country to suit themselves. Recent developments on the national front illustrate this beautifully.
Thugs and crooks exist in a kind of limbo where they emerge to take from us, similar to politicians, our possessions, our money, our very lives and they return to that space where they hide to emerge at their leisure.
Our courts are riddled with "pragmatists" and "realists" who would rather make a deal than actually go to court for a conviction. Plea bargaining is the modern way.
Meanwhile our prisons are costing millions in tax dollars to keep drug USERS in prison. While the real criminals like dealers, importers and the like who can afford attorneys walk around scot free.
The thugs and crooks who actually end up doing time, see it as a vacation with three hots and a cot. And they spend their time learning the next way to steal from you.
The University of San Quentin, where they teach Burglary 101, Identity Theft for Fun and Profit, Kidnapping Made Easy, and, of course, Torture for Enemies and Victims.
Read history. Man has been here before, and apparently will be here again in the overall scheme of things.
But, we are concerned with RIGHT NOW.
We just have to survive this cycle as a nation and a people. We can do it.
